In August we fixed the most frustrating bug we've had since integrating Outlook, as well as improving other parts of the system.

Calendar Sync Fixes

Fix for cancelled instances within a recurring series not being synced

This has been our most frustrating issue since launching our Outlook integration—something we weren't proud of.

The problem stemmed from a limitation in the Outlook calendar API, preventing us from retrieving canceled event instances within a recurring series.

We're thrilled to announce that we've finally developed a workaround to this limitation. From now on, all canceled instances will sync across all our supported providers.

If you've already set up a sync, you might need to manually re-run it to update existing canceled instances.

Fixed several intermittent errors affecting iCloud calendar sync

We've been monitoring the recent iCloud integration and fixing issues as they arise. We've only found a few bugs and squashed them.

  • Fixed an issue where users with very busy calendars would occasionally see a slot marked as available when it had a conflict with a calendar meeting. Although the conflicting slot couldn't be booked anyway, it created a poor user experience.
  • Fixed inconsistency in Google Meet URL display on booking links when an appointment was canceled and then rescheduled.

Improve new user onboarding

  • Simplify the onboarding process for new users who only want to use Booking Links without the calendar sync feature.
  • Create tutorial videos for the most common calendar sync use-cases which will be presented the first time a user creates a new sync.

Overall UI and UX improvements

We've improved the UI and UX of the platform, such as adding a Cancel button to the Connect Calendars Screen, etc.
